Accredited Roofing was founded in 2003 with a simple belief: homeowners deserve a contractor they can trust.
When Steve started the company, he saw a gap in the local market. Too many contractors seemed focused on collecting deposits and moving on to the next job. He wanted to build a company that put people first and treated customers the way he believed they should be treated.
That commitment led to one of the principles Accredited Roofing still follows today: customers never pay a penny until their project is complete and they are fully satisfied with the work.
More than twenty years later, that promise remains unchanged.
How It All Started
The story of Accredited Roofing began with a single advertisement in a local phone book.
In February of 2003, Steve purchased his first ad. Two weeks later—and before the phone books even reached homeowners—a major hailstorm hit the exact area where the advertisement was placed.
The timing created an opportunity to help homeowners who suddenly needed roofing and storm restoration services. What started as a one-man operation quickly grew into a business built on service, hard work, and relationships.
In those early years, Steve wore every hat imaginable. He handled sales, managed projects, answered phones, worked with customers, and helped oversee jobs from start to finish.
While the company has grown significantly since then, the values that guided those early days still shape Accredited Roofing today.

As Accredited Roofing continued to grow, many customers began asking for help with more than roofing.
They wanted one contractor who could handle multiple parts of an exterior project instead of coordinating several different companies.
That demand led us to expand our services and eventually open a second location in Jerseyville, Illinois.
The goal was never simply to open another office. The goal was to serve more homeowners while maintaining the same level of care, communication, and workmanship that helped us grow throughout the Metro East region.
Today, homeowners can work with Accredited Roofing through our offices in Fairview Heights and Jerseyville while receiving the same customer-first experience that has guided our company since 2003.
